HI, I'M NICO.
I'm a Berlin-based filmmaker and journalist, specialized in human interest stories, EU policy, social issues and current affairs.
Originally from northern Germany, I completed a professional program in mastering the craft of narrative editing for feature length documentary and TV productions, a master's degree in cultural studies and a rigorous two-year traineeship in multimedia journalism.
In my spare time I practice Jivamukti Yoga, cycle around Germans capital of Berlin and relive my teenage years with my longboard on Tempelhofer Feld.
PEOPLE – PLACE – PURPOSE – PLOT
All stories have four pillars: people who connect with the audience, places where the story unfolds, a purpose your film follows, and a plot structure that ignites engagement in your audience. With these pillars in mind I will break down the uncertain creative work into a proven process of simple decision making.
